Westfield Shoppingtowns enlisted Sweeney to help promote the opening of its Franklin Park location in Toledo, Ohio after a $117 million, 238,000-square-foot space redevelopment.

The celebration marked the grand opening of 27 new retailers, including 17 first-to-Toledo retailers, a new food court and a 16-screen, 2,700-seat cinema.

Results

  • Secured coverage on all major television stations and newspapers, including a front-page story in The Blade, Toledo’s only daily newspaper, and generating 10.2 million media impressions, more than twice the high-end of the established goal.
  • Traffic for the grand opening weekend was more than 122,000 customers, an increase of 64% over the same weekend the previous year.
  • More than 4,000 customers, media and government officials, including Toledo Mayor Jack Ford and more than 20 city council members and county commissioners, attended the grand opening ceremony.
